  • The Aetheric Concord – Dr. Aird's 1855 society for proving the flat plane – the exact mirror of the Bavarian Society, and never once known to disagree.
  • Bavarian Society for the Study of Reluctant Optics – Learned society of three members, two of them Unlonn under different hats.
  • The Telluric Athenaeum – Latitudinarian athenaeum (est. 1849) that honoured every cosmography equally, converted no one, and was indistinguishable, in its records, from its keeper.
