The unlonnture (Ǔ) is the position insisted upon divided by the position embarrassingly actual; a brick holds at 1.0. It rises with humidity, distance, and staring too long — which is the present concern.

Field measurement

Attempt to point at the subject. It will be found four metres to the left of wherever you point.

Dryer sock (reference standard) is not here. It tunnelled into the boundary layer some time ago, and stayed. (Ǔ → ∞.)

Requires a pointing device. The subject does not respond to touch, having anticipated it.
